Module 6: Field Experience with Test Clients
Put your hard work and counseling skills to the test by conducting live counseling sessions with test clients. This training module will give you practice onboarding new clients, doing both individual and couples sessions, and conducting follow-up sessions.
Assignment
Onboard 20 test clients (15 individual clients and 5 couples), and submit a total of 20 sessions according to the breakdown in the table below. You can find test clients within your own network of family, friends, and co-workers. Let potential test clients know that you need their help to complete your field work for a Christian Counseling Training Course that you are taking. Most of the time you will find that those within your network will be more than happy to help you out and will be excited about getting some counseling! Once you find someone who is interested in being one of your test clients, direct them to your website, and ask them to submit a Contact Information Form. Once you receive their CIF, schedule a session with them. Practice what you learned in Training Module 3 about how to onboard a new client and conduct a client session.
Record each session that you do with your test clients. See the chart below for a breakdown of what you are required to submit to complete your field work. Please submit everything listed under the "What To Submit" column. See instructions for how to submit your field work below the table. Please note, many of your test clients will turn into your ongoing ministry clients.

How To Submit Your Field Work
Due to the large file size of the session recordings, please use Dropbox for uploading your field work. Create a folder on Dropbox titled "[Your Name's] Field Work". Inside the folder, create 20 other folders with the session type and name of each of your test clients (Ex. First Session - Monica Jones). Place your field work requirements within each folder, accordingly. When your field work is complete, submit your work by "sharing" a link to your field work folder to stephmastro@gmail.com.
